Experience with EMR and medical office experience is MANDATORY.
Duties:
- ***Prep charts for Practitioners using our EMR
- Sending prescriptions via fax
- Uploading documents into patients' charts
- Responding to messages from patients within the EHR and sometimes via text
- Greet and check-in patients, verifying their information and assisting with any necessary paperwork
- Assist with scheduling
- Prepare rooms for patient visits, ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
- Assess patients' vital signs and properly document them, including blood pressure and waist-to-hip ratio
- Administer vitamin injections as directed by healthcare providers
- Schedule patient appointments and follow-up visits
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Experience and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior medical office experience is required
- Completion of a medical assistant training program or certification preferred
- Previous experience working as a medical assistant in a healthcare setting is a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems; fast-learner
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
