Position Summary:
HARMAN’s diverse portfolio of businesses and customers offer interns a great opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of projects and practices. As a member of our team, your primary role will be to focus on consumer activations in the sports & at our retail partners for the Americas. Their responsibilities will include working on initiatives for the HARMAN Flagship Store in NYC, sports partnerships/ambassadors and JBL FEST (HARMAN global marketing event).

Job Responsibilities:
HARMAN Flagship Store
Assist Marketing Specialist with planning and on-site execution of store events
Provide support on windows, wall displays, promotional materials and traffic/sales driving promotions (Yankee activation)
Assist with social assets for store digital platforms (Facebook/Instagram)
Assist with recap deck for LS monthly reports based on store events and activations
Organize and update assets for store CMS (product images, product descriptions, and pricing)
Support planning and execution of additional pop-up retail stores
Sports Partnerships
Provide support on MLB activations: Assist with asset organization, creative, promo materials, and player seeding
Provide support on NBA Draft program: on-site events, player seeding, etc.
JBL Fest
Provide support for hospitality team: registration website, gifting, activations, regional/divisional programs, etc.

Basic Qualifications:
Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program at an accredited institution in the Sophmore year or later, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter prior to participation in the internship program and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program
Must have taken courses in marketing or related field
Experience with Marketing and event activation experience preferred
Usable knowledge of Microsoft Office, new presentation formats, photo editing platforms preferred
Must have entry-level work experience
Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently interact and present information to senior leaders and executives
Must work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
Must provide full work availability from May 2018 through August 2018 and be able to work 40 hours per week
Highly prefer candidates who live within a commutable distance
Must provide own housing and transportation to/from work
Must possess unrestricted work authorization

Eligibility Requirements:
Willingness to travel.
Willingness to work in an office in Stamford, CT.
Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation, drug screen, and DMV background check.
