Job Description

Working in an agile software development environment, the Dev Ops Automation Engineer is responsible for automating build-test-deploy lifecycle for wide variety of applications/services and providing Dev Ops engineering and support. The candidate will focus on enhancing platform services and contributing engineering code and solutions to multiple projects. The candidate would utilize engineering and programming skills focused on enabling a DevOps model, participating with Architecture, Operations and Engineering teams within Agile processes. The role will include systems and solution design within the existing architecture, as well as design/implementation of improvements to meet business needs. The DevOps engineer will work collaboratively with the Development, IT Operations, and QA teams both within the company as well as our client projects in implementing software configuration management best practices to accelerate and optimize delivery methodologies.

Basic Qualifications (5+ years’ experience with the following)

  • Systems Administration/DevOps experience
  • AWS EC2 or similar cloud technologies and virtualization (VMware)
  • Linux (RedHat/CentOS preferred) and Windows server administration
  • DevOps Tools (Puppet, Nexus, Chocolaty, Chef, Jenkins, Artifactory, Github, Bitbucket, SonarQube)
  • Docker container management systems (Kubernetes preferred)
  • Experience managing web servers (Nginx preferred), application servers (Java-based) and databases (MySQL primary, but also PostGres, MS SQL Server)
  • Experience managing system vulnerabilities and security issues, including automation of scans, monitoring and patching processes
  • Network management skills, including Internet, wireless, firewalls, proxies, and VPNs
  • Fluency with at least two of the following programming languages: Java, Python, Ruby, node.js
  • Proven track record of customer obsession and team work
  • Strong problem solving ability and object-oriented design skills
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environment
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • An active SECRET clearance is required. An active TS/SCI clearance is desired.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
