Job DescriptionQualifications: - An Associates degree from an accredited college or university, BA preferred. Knowledge of Windows 7 and Windows 10 operating systems and basic computer setup and operations.- The Help Desk Technician must have the ability to: Support the use and integration of technology in the classroomPerform inventory and related paperwork procedures.Support audio-visual installations of projectors, projection screens, speakers, and other classroom technologyDemonstrate a working knowledge of hardware components and their functionsPossess the ability to learn and implement new technologiesDemonstrate working knowledge of fundamental computer troubleshooting stepsPerform computer desktop/laptop moves and software upgradesMonitor and prioritize the help desk ticket queueAdminister the district Active Directory and G Suite email systemAdminister Chromebook and iPad management systemExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsOne to three years of technical support experience a plusReports to: - Reports to: Technology DirectorEvaluation: - Evaluated by: Technology DirectorPosition Goals: -To improve the overall quality of education received by students, staff, and the school community through the use of technology-To provide support for all aspects of technology to advance education for Maynard Public Schools Terms of Employment - Employment contract: Part-Time 19.5 hours per week. 3 day work week schedule is 7:30 a.m. 2:30 p.m.

Salary is $20/hr.Performance Responsibilities-Adheres to system wide software and hardware standards, requirements-Prepares proposals and solicits bids for system technology needs-Participate in technology training, programs based on knowledge of identified training needs-Evaluates hardware and software for classroom or administrative needs.-Remains current on new developments in the areas of software and hardware-Maintain an inventory of technology in the school district-Other related duties as assigned by the Network Administrator or designee
