Loudoun Medical Group (LMG), one of the largest and most diverse physician-owned, multi-specialty group practices in Virginia, has a career opportunity for a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant, SLP-A to assist in the growth of our Speech Pathology Group. This position would work out of our Stone Springs office location in Aldie, VA.
General Duties:
- Implementing direct therapy and treatment plans under the supervision and treatment established by the supervising SLP
- Collect and organize data and information for patients
- Provide education and techniques to parents for more effective communication as related to patent’s needs
- Maintain accurate and timely records including timesheets and reports
- Report to clinical supervisor on client progress and provide treatment recommendations
- Assist supervising SLP in with administering and scoring screenings for clinical interpretation an provide direct treatment to children with speech, language, voice, fluency, feeding/swallowing delays and disorders
- Maintain up-to-date treatment notes on each client and develop appropriate home programs for clients with applicable
Job Requirements:
- B.A. Degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Licensure
- 2-5 years relevant work experience
- Experience in working with Early Intervention and ASD
- Availability of 40 hours per week
- Basic Computer Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build rapport with staff and patients
- Excellent time management and highly organizational skills
- Moderate physical effort, standing, walking, lifting, bending, kneeling, etc.
