Who We’re Looking For:

SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER FOR OUR CORPORATE OFFICE IN BELLEVUE, WA.

Around here, we’re people-people. In fact, there’s nothing we value more than our team. Our Senior HR Manager will have a strong Benefits and HR management background. She/He will work closely with our hotels at multiple Seattle locations in handling personnel related matters such as: oversight of Benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment, and employment law compliance. We’re fanatical about maintaining a happy working environment where everyone is appreciated and supported. (Imagine that.) You’ll partner with operational leaders to ensure this standard is being upheld company-wide.

What You Bring:

So in addition to being an all-around great person who adds to our dynamic and fun environment, we’re looking for a few important skills:

  • Significant HR management experience and knowledge of HR laws, including federal, state and city ordinances, ideally Washington, Oregon, California, Massachusetts, Illinois and New York.
  • Extensive Benefits knowledge and management experience.
  • Responsible for the planning, design, implementation, and administration of an overall benefits and wellness strategy to ensure market competitiveness, fair internal practices and alignment with the organization’s mission, vision and values.
  • Lead the end-to-end leave of absence program, including program design and administration with a focus on the employee experience.
  • Manages vendor relationships including brokers, third party administrators and other external service providers by building strong relationships and overseeing vendor performance.
  • Reviews and analyzes changes to state and federal laws related to benefits and reports/recommends changes to management
  • Ensures that development and implementation of benefits programs, policies and practices are in compliance with ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA, ACA, ADA, Seattle Sick-Safe, WA Paid Family Leave and other applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
  • Maintains and implements schedule of governmental benefit filings (Form 5500, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to adjust styles to all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage a strong service culture and embrace an operations team who is honing their administrative skills.

Where You’ve Been:

We’re looking for someone with a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of Benefits management experience and 5 HR experience, preferably in the hospitality realm. You must be detail-oriented, highly organized and flexible, a great communicator and have the ability to adjust to all levels of the organization. Multi-unit hospitality experience is a big plus. This position is located at our Staypineapple HQ office in Bellevue, WA. This is a desk job (we’ll get you a comfy chair) and requires sitting in close proximity to other team members. We’re a cozy bunch.
