The Vice President of Operations is responsible for ensuring that cost effective operations and infrastructure are in place to support all staff and business processes. Operations include Contract Operations, Membership Operations, and Data and Reconciliation departments and are critical to the overall performance and success of Navigator. The Vice President of Operations ensures that the organization is well positioned in a rapidly evolving and competitive environment by being an agent for ongoing organizational change. The position ensures that strategies are clearly understood by all stakeholders and that the organization is achieving its strategic goals at the optimum pace. The VP of Operations will plan, direct and oversee the company's operational policies, initiatives and goals. They will execute long-term and short-term plans and directives by implementing judgement, vision, management and leadership. The VP of Operations will be responsible to identify, quantify, analyze, monitor and mitigate operational risk within the Navigator.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead the operational perspective with the company’s executive group and partner collaboratively with fellow executives and team members to ensure alignment and execution as agreed with company initiatives and operations.

Create, implement, and maintain input and resultant metrics that are relevant to customer, Operations and Navigator performance and success.
Serve as the field organization’s voice and work collaboratively with all team members to help drive key business objectives.
Successfully build a team structure in a dynamic environment as well as new company growth.
Participate in contract negotiations and insure that all current contracts are being monitored for compliance both internally and externally.
Foster a connection with all field and corporate employees through leadership, frequent visits and consistent communications, to fully understand the operations and expectations of all positions.
Actively seeks out opportunities for investment, revenue generation and strategic partnerships.
Coordinate with human resources to continuously recruit skilled talent and ensure a positive work environment; one that is built on a foundation of trust and transparency and helps to retains top-tier talent.
Consistently mentor and lead our team, ensuring that the organization is structured to deliver forecasted results, while continuing to scale as a best-in-class retailer.
Full P&L accountability, required to meet and/or exceed organizational goals related to sales, profitability and operating costs across the Navigator division.
Monitor and evaluate company performance through sales, operating costs, inventory, shrink, turnover and other key data analysis.
Present fresh ideas and cash flow strategies to the executive team.
Measure effectiveness and efficiency of operational processes both internally and externally and find ways to improve processes.
Minimum Qualifications & Competencies:
BA/BS in business or related concentration; graduate degree, preferred
10+ years’ work experience within the GPO, Food Service management, Manufacturer, Distributor, or Broker industries is strongly preferred
Ability to fully implement key initiatives through strategic planning, knowledge, leadership, and effective crisis management, that focuses on a solution-driven approach
Strong analytical skills required
Proficient in Microsoft Word®, Outlook®, Excel® and PowerPoint® and Saleforce.com.
Must exhibit excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively
Financial analysis and profit and loss responsibility
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, with confidence and control.
Planning and organizational project management skills
Ability to apply sound business principles and practices
Evidence of a proven track record of building world-class teams and motivating a large, growing and diverse organization
Ability to lead in an environment of constant change with a strong set of ethic
Demonstrated ability to see the big picture and provide useful and strategic advice and input across the company and on the senior executive team
