Electrical Engineering Manager II - Program Execution

What You’ll Do:
Oversight of electronics execution for all electrical disciplines in Electrical Solutions group of engineers who perform full lifecycle electronics development: architecting, designing and developing electrical interfaces and electronics hardware and harnesses for space, air, and ground applications.
POC (Point of Contact) working directly with program managers across various strategic business units to proactively communicate and provide solutions to all risks – programmatic, logistics, infrastructure, resource-related.
Take full ownership of all EE Cost actuals database and tools.
Support EE architecture/avionics proposal generation for new business development.
Support hiring and training of all EPE/IPT leads for both in-house and subcontracted efforts for electronics and harness efforts.
Define, secure, organize, and direct staff, resources, standards, processes, procedures, and tools essential for the successful execution of all programs.
Coordinate bi-weekly PMO meetings with all electrical project engineers to ensure that all programs/efforts are on track to be successful in meeting their milestone expectations.
Support Electrical Solutions strategic planning activities and how they map and play in the overall engineering Strat plan.
Provide outstanding leadership, direction, and guidance that ensures successful program execution in accordance with budget, schedule, contract, Statement of Work (SOW), and Technical Specifications across the enterprise for Electrical Solutions including delivering successfully on unplanned/ adhoc efforts.
May work part time providing direct support to programs.
Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Perform other duties as necessary.

What You’ll Need:
BS/BA in related field plus 12 years or more related experience.
Degree(s) in Electrical Engineering preferred.
Each higher-level degree, i.e. Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Two years of related experience may be substituted for each year of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
A history of performance illustrating skills in being a self -starter, having excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal, ability to work independently and with a team.
Ability to apply sound leadership and management principles to an organization of high performing engineers developing electronics throughout the full lifecycle from proposal through delivery.
Relevant work experience with end-to-end electronics development and production.
Strong know how of cost, schedule, technical and risk management of custom and production type electronics.
Experience with component engineering aspects for space, military, tactical and commercial needs with focus on "reuse", "standardization" and "built-in quality" at various levels of hardware/product development, procurement and fabrication.
Working knowledge of electrical hardware quality principles for space and ground applications.
Ability to operate at the system level and interface to all engineering disciplines and organizations.
Experience demonstrating knowledge of electrical engineering with DoD, NASA and commercial/operational space customers.
Prior experience working in and with controlled, classified security environments is highly desirable.
Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance is required.

Working Conditions:
Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, clean room, or production floor.
Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
This position is eligible for a Hiring Incentive of a minimum of $20,000 for external hires only.

Security Clearance:
Successful applicant for this position must be eligible to obtain a DoD clearance. A current DoD clearance is not required to be eligible for this position, however the successful applicant will be required to obtain a DoD clearance within a reasonable time after the offer is extended and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance. * US Citizenship is Required
