VVF Kansas Services is looking to hire a full-time Quality Technician. This position will work directly with APDEO operations to organize and control quality of raw, pack and finished goods materials and products. Perform documented quality inspections insuring materials and products meet quality standards. Develop quality standards as needed and train operators. The position will also participate in special projects as assigned

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the product manufacturing process to ensure quality standards are being met.
Frequently collecting and evaluating raw, pack and finished product samples for testing, quality inspection and documentation.
Routine Visual inspections of injection-molding machines, coffee machines, assembly and Fill line.
Training new and existing employees on quality standards, documentation procedures and actions to take if defects are observed. Insures operators are trained on current versions of Quality SOP’s, forms, etc.
Perform label, Overwrap and packaging verifications.
Record all start up in-process inspection results to insure equipment is operating within specification ranges.
Maintains required documentation and records. Responsible for process documentation verification (cycle checklists, lot change summary, line clearance, etc.).
Notifies appropriate plant employees and requests technical support when appropriate.
Conducts, documents, and reports results of process audits of assembly/molding processes.
Initiates and reviews Quality Alerts to determine and complete corrective and preventative actions.
Perform initial start-up fixture/variable/attribute checks (where applicable) per specific job quality instructions.
Material verification of job set up in all areas.
Maintain shift to shift communications of quality concerns at shift change over.
Immediately communicate quality concerns to Shift Supervisor.
Establish sort and rework requirements for defective stock. Create marked samples for rework visual aid. Sort stock as required.
Ensure Proper storage of all job materials at job shut down.

Qualifications:
Basic Minimum Requirements:
Meet the legal minimum age requirement.
Authorized to work in the United States.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
One year experience analyzing and documenting quality results against standards.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications and document creation in Word and Excel.

Physical Requirements:
Daily responsibilities may require working on elevated surfaces, climbing stairs/ladders, kneeling, bending, squatting, stooping, lifting, crawling under equipment, wearing fall protection and required PPE.
Must be able to work in an industrial chemical plant environment.
Work is performed in an internal plant environment; exposure to dust and noise.
Able to work in outdoor conditions.
Standing/walking for long periods of time.
Sitting for long periods of time working in front of a computer screen.

Salary: $16.50 to $18.50 /hour.
