Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk. The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.
The successful senior-level candidate will possess the following:
Proven in-depth knowledge of compliance programs within large financial services institutions
Significant experience providing clear and concise reporting and presentations to the Board, senior management and to regulators. Manage the development of regulatory responses.
Proactive about leveraging data to evaluate project success, identify trends to anticipate issues, develop alternative solutions, and escalate risks
Ability to effectively lead meetings with Internal Audit, project stakeholders, and management. Demonstrates teamwork and shows how to listen, share and cooperate. Coordinates efforts across multiple participants
Significant strategic experience standing up and defining complex, enterprise-wide, compliance initiatives at the Program level, which require close partnership with compliance and / or audit functions
Well versed in breaking down complex matters into root causes that can be readily addressed.
Significant experience in analyzing, complex compliance problems and developing and operationalizing solutions
Proven ability to navigate through ambiguity and maintain momentum driving for results and clarity in uncertain situations.
Experience with enterprise-wide Change Management initiatives, infrastructure and technology enablement, and driving / balancing strategic needs with competing priorities
Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, with senior executive-level leaders
Must be a proactive, detail-oriented and organized self-starter who values personal accountability and thrives under pressure in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
