Duties
The Optician will be responsible for performing various duties including:
- Fitting patients with glasses, contact lenses, and other optical devices
- Maintaining a clean and organized optical laboratory, adhering to aseptic techniques
- Developing and maintaining relationships with patients and medical professionals
- Providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive patient experience
- Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in ophthalmology and optical technology
- Assisting with the maintenance of patient records and HIPAA compliance
- Preferred: experience with optical billing and cutting lenses
- Please note the wage scale is relative to being balanced by a commission for sales
Experience
The successful candidate will have experience in an optical or ophthalmology setting and will be familiar with the latest techniques and technologies in the field. A background in pediatrics or senior care is also desirable. Experience with sales and retail sales is a plus.
