Our highly respected company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Shipping/Receiving Supervisor who will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day relationship with key service providers and transportation partners to ensure the timely delivery of our goods to the customers. This position requires effective process management with optimal resource planning, positive interaction and results from internal and external customers with strict adherence to safety practices.
Responsibilities:

Manages all shipping and receiving personnel and related functions with a focus on safety, accuracy, on-time deliveries, and support of internal and external customers.

Manage relationships with key service providers and transportation partners. Track incoming and outgoing shipments and provide status updates when needed. Validate transportation and vendor invoices are per the contracts.

Manage quotes for outside servicing.

As needed, work with our Customs broker to ensure all inbound products are accurately and timely cleared through U.S. Customs.

Coordinates with Operations to develop and execute supply and inventory plans that best support the needs of the customer and the business.

Lead process improvement projects to increase efficiency and optimize resource utilization. Incorporate 5S practices.

Successfully manage to an annual budget.

Provides key leadership during the annual inventory process.

Identifies opportunities to work with and provide exceptional customer service.

Ensures timely response to customer complaints and develops root cause analysis to ensure the issues do not repeat.
Requirements:

A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive operations management experience within a logistics or distribution environment is strongly preferred.

Knowledge of warehouse operations and lean manufacturing techniques.

Team player, problem solver, good coaching/teaching skills and can multi-task in a fast- paced environment. Proven managerial track record.

Intermediate computer experience to include SAP, production planning systems, Microsoft Office, with a willingness to learn and navigate customer specific platforms.

Physical requirements include regular standing, walking and some lifting.
