We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Senior Project Manager with a strong telecommunications background to join our team in Boyce, VA (with ocassional visits to Winchester, VA and Washington, DC) to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.
In this role you will provide team leadership and creativity in the development and implementation of services engagements, with emphasis on telecommunications management. Manages multiple projects or sub-projects, including the development and integration of entire project(s). Delivers consistently high value, "client ready" work with minimum supervision. Performs the role of primary interface with the client - communicates deliverables, conducts client meetings, obtains required client sign off and specifications, client acceptance and billing. Achieves the baseline metrics for assigned project(s). Sets objectives and priorities for the project staff.
Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities
Responsible for providing the program management oversight across the contract and all contract task orders (with a focus on telecommunications related task orders), up to and including contractual deliverables and financial controls. Program Management is one of the primary points of contact with client’s OCIO office. The Program Manager oversee the execution of the task order, monitor and direct all work performed under the task order, manage deliverables development and submission, and coordinate closely with the government Task Manager (TM) on all acquisition and program management tasks. The qualified candidate that can consult and review the system requirements in areas relating to Operations and Maintenance (O&M). Responsible for the successful implementation and delivery of strategic, complex projects; Coordinates receipt of project plans, level of effort estimates, scheduling, monitoring and progress tracking of projects; Responsible for assisting with preparation an promulgation of program and risk management including strategy, project controls, project plan reviews, risk analysis and mitigation, staffing, and organization development.
10 years of telecommunications experience
Experience managing large projects CONUS and/or OCONUS
PMP/ITIL certification or pending certification exam results in the next 90 days
In-depth knowledge of NIOS – FEMA’s ordering/provisioning/billing/reporting application
Experience managing day-to-day working level program and associated projects
Call center management experience
Up-to-date knowledge of next generation mobile technology
Team Lead in a Mobility Service Center (MSC) capacity
Managerial experience associated with a 24x7x365 Tier 2 service center
Extensive knowledge of FEMA policies and procedures associated with the MSC
Experience supporting major disasters and meeting mobility needs
Experience managing vendor delivery metrics
Extensive knowledge provisioning Blackberry and IOS mobile devices and FEMA BES policies and processes
Knowledge of and experience with the FEMA financial processes utilized within the FEMA MSC
Experience negotiating vendor pricing to obtain the best possible promotional or bundle pricing
U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field degree and a minimum of 10 years of telecommunications experience or equivalent.
