Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Grinder to join our team. As a Grinder, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality on our products by applying a variety of grinding techniques. The ideal candidate will be familiar with hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and basic math. Responsibilities:
· Process parts per written work instructions and per job router
· Ensure that coating thickness is within specification and meets all requirements prior to beginning the grind process
· Identify specific abrasive belts / wheels to be utilized at their appropriate stages in the grind process
· Identify proper measuring tools and measure readings accurately
· Work directly with quality department to identify and resolve any issues to ensure completed parts are acceptable
· Sign job router as grind activities are completed
· Ensure established quality standards are maintained
· Operate lathes, forklifts, and overhead cranes
· Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly work area
· Gain and utilize thorough knowledge of company history, culture, identity, and goals
· Responsible for observing all safety practices by ensuring all machine guards and other safety equipment or devices are in place and in good working order before and during operation
· Ensure all required personal protection equipment is used at all times
· Help in other departments as needed
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience as a Grinder or in a related field.
- Proven experience with Grinding and CNC operations.
- Strong understanding of quality inspection procedures.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments and basic math.
- Familiarity with hand tools and their proper use.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
