Community Counseling and Mediation (CCM) is a renowned and esteemed provider in the mental health and substance abuse field, operating six Article 31 licensed clinics located in Brooklyn and Midtown Manhattan. With a dedicated team of over 85 highly skilled and licensed clinicians, we passionately deliver comprehensive and personalized clinical services to a diverse client population. Our wide range of clinical services includes individual, group, and family counseling, as well as thorough psychosocial and psychiatric assessments and diagnosis. In addition, we offer psychopharmacology services to further support our clients' holistic well-being.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to assume the role of Clinical Director at our clinic on Willoughby Street in Brooklyn. As the Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations, and overall management of our outpatient mental health clinic. You will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the clinic, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, the compliance with OMH and all other relevant regulations, and maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment for our staff.
Responsibilities:
- The clinic director will be required, as part of their employment contract to maintain their own caseload on a monthly basis.
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and diagnosis for clients, and provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions to address mental health concerns, substance abuse issues, and related challenges.
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to the clinic staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Implement clinic policies, procedures, and protocols, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and best practices.
- Oversee and evaluate the performance of clinic staff, including training, supervising, establishing work schedules and caseloads, and conducting performance reviews.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, promoting professional development opportunities for staff members.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards pertaining to mental health services.
- Implement quality assurance, including monitoring clinical documentation, conducting regular audits, and addressing any identified areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and attend regular meetings to develop and implement integrated care approaches and enhance client outcomes.
Qualifications:
- A master's degree or higher in mental health counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
- Licensed mental health professional (e.g., Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, PsyD, PhD).
- Proven experience in a leadership or management role within an outpatient mental health clinic or similar healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of mental health practices, treatment modalities, and evidence-based interventions.
- Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines governing mental health services (HIPAA, Medicaid/Medicare, etc.).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other clinic management software.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, client-centered care and promoting mental health awareness.
