About the Position

Are you a diligent and energetic professional looking to join a growing and exciting sports and entertainment organization? Then the Golden State Warriors are looking for a motivated and passionate professional with the ability to handle all aspects of corporate communications in our Oakland and San Francisco offices.

As a Corporate Communications Manager, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing new strategies to improve business operations and be the point of contact for all media materials. You will utilize your knowledge with media relations and handle all communication efforts, while being able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

This is a full-time position and is based in Oakland, CA.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with Senior Director to develop company's communication goals by focusing on improving publicity for non-basketball events with corporate partners, community relations, marketing, tickets sales and other related endeavors

Write and produce all related media materials including vital messages, superlatives, media pages, press releases and other media materials as necessary

Craft, implement and track all public relations plans across all business operations

Build and maintain positive relationships with newspaper editors, business writers, news producers, and radio news reporters

Handle all media contacts and communications with key partners

Provide support to the team with media needs during special events and public appearances

Required Skills and Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Public or Media Relations, Communications or Journalism

5+ years of experience with public or media relations within sports, business and news media in the Bay Area and nationwide

Familiarity with NBA public relations practices highly preferred

Ability to complete multiple projects at a time and build strong relationships with multiple partners

Knowledge of MS Office applications and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as necessary
