Command Construction Industries is a Louisiana heavy/highway contractor specializing in concrete paving, site-work, concrete barrier installation and sewer, water, and drainage projects. From large projects to small jobs, Command Construction Industries’ personnel bring their expertise and many years of experience to every project.
We have worked with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, the City of New Orleans, The Orleans Levee Board, the NO Aviation Board, Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans, and the City of Baton Rouge.
Project Manager/Estimator
Summary/Objective
The Project Manager/Estimator position plans, directs, and coordinates, activities concerned with the construction of heavy/highway projects. Estimates costs of the project and once job is obtained, oversees its organization, materials, scheduling, and implementation.
Job Duties
- Reviews construction documents and understands scope of work to bid using state and federal standards.
- Executes take-offs of construction documents.
- Obtains quotes from subcontractors and vendors for materials and labor as needed.
- Prepares cost analysis in computer by recapitulating material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead costs incurred in the installation of items.
- Communicates with Managing Member of any observed inaccuracies or omissions in quoted or contract items
- Develops and maintains company resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, etc.
- Attends departmental meetings as required.
Other Assigned Duties
· Work well with project management team, Operations Manager, Superintendent, and Foremen to plan, organize and direct activities concerned with construction projects.
· Confer with Operations Manager, Superintendent, and Foremen to discuss such matters as work procedures, complaints and constructability problems.
· Monitor and control project through administrative direction of on-site foremen to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget.
· Represent the company in project meetings and attend strategy meetings
· Requisition supplies and materials to complete project.
· Communicate plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients.
· Formulate reports concerning such areas as work progress, costs and scheduling.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
