Established underground power, communication, and utility contractor seeking a Project Estimator. Main responsibilities are determining costs associated with completing the scope of work for construction projects.
Major Areas of Responsibilities:
Review and analyze plans and documents to prepare cost estimates for bids.
Manage bidding process for all scope of work on projects.
Track bidding timetables from initial bid to award of contract.
Seek new bidding opportunities when needed.
Represent Company at bidding events when required.
Perform cost comparisons to previous bids of similar nature.
Visit potential job sites to better determine the scope of work if necessary.
Review construction contracts.
Prepare project submittals.
Must be able to manage multiple bids ay any given time.
Qualifications: Minimum of five years of estimating experience in the construction field, preferably in a Dry Construction environment. Strong math, computer, and analytical skills. Good communication skills along with strong attention to detail.
