Provide Cartographic finishing and feature extraction services in support of the production of standard and non-standard agency intelligence products
Extract specific feature data in accordance with the agency feature data specifications, agency project specific guidance and other agency data or product specifications
Extract feature data using National Technical Means (NTM); Mapping, Charting & Geodesy (MC&G) stereo imagery; Digital Point Positioning Database (DPPDB) or Orthorectified Mono Equivalent [Precise Terrain and Ortho Product (PTOP); Mr Sid Orthorectified Geotiffs (MSOG); Precise Orthorectified Image Datasets (POID); Controlled Image Base (CIB)]
Prepare ancillary data sources to support production requirements, such as AAFIF, DVOF, Geonames, MIDB, DIB, and other required source information
Utilize stereo and mono imagery in the extraction of special geospatial datasets supporting the agency’s GEOINT mission
Develop and implement a metadata catalog based on agency standards for spatial metadata
In the event documentation does not exist, develop project-specific guidance and document process workflow procedures for standard and non-standard products
Produce geospatial digital feature data and/or digital terrain data to support agency analysis and Foundation GEOINT objectives
Correctly attribute extracted feature data based on agency specifications and/or the NSG Feature Data Dictionary (NFDD)
Collaborate with agency analysts to exploit, analyze, report, and disseminate information for the benefit of decision maker
Participate in the production and cartographic finishing of the full range of the agency’s GEOINT products including the effective briefing of presentations
Extract and/or access geospatial information, derivative information and multi-INT data from selected sources for analysis and visualization; apply geospatial analytical methods, substantive intelligence expertise and logical judgment to solve problems, provide decision support; and enhance knowledge for intelligence issues
Manipulate, manage, and maintain geospatial database content
Validate geospatial database content using industry standard quality control tools
Establish production schedules and deliver customer requirements by the scheduled due dates
Work closely with mission partners in a team environment to produce oral and written reports; develop various geospatial datasets and visualizations of geospatial information and intelligence to satisfy customer requirements; and provide representational support for internal and external meetings and conferences as required
Establish and manage detailed geospatial data extraction and analysis, research and production goals, strategies, and processes
Provide technical expertise and knowledge exchange with integrated military personnel
Create, update and manage geospatial information system databases and products
Identify, compile, and assess geospatial data sets to support agency GEOINT production
Document and distribute established best practices, modifications to standard specifications, process improvements, and automation procedures to all other TGD sites, the TGD Reachback Team, and TGD Program Management
Maintain the skills and knowledge necessary to implement the most current versions of production standards
Perform geo-locational mensuration functions, extract coordinates and positional relationships from digital database systems
Compile, segregate, evaluate, research, interpret, analyze, and disseminate intelligence information to support operations
Prepare, maintain, and present intelligence displays, reports, and briefings with the creation and use of visual aids (graphs, charts, etc.) and drafting, editing, and proofreading documents for publishing

Required Education

HS/GED is required. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field may count for up to four (4) years of experience.

Required Skills and Experience:
3-10 years of directly relevant experience
Expertise and experience in geography, cartography and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) which includes skill in ArcGIS applications
Expertise and experience in creating shapefiles, geodatabases, and features
Knowledge of digital cartography, image processing, geographical information systems (GIS), geospatial production techniques and agency digital data formats
Knowledge of geospatial analysis software suites (GIS commercial software packages such as ArcGIS, ERDAS and SocetSet, including common office software to include spreadsheets, word processing) used by the agency to accomplish its mission
Expertise in research information gathering for the following sources:
Primary legal documents that pertain to the delimitation, demarcation and maintenance of the boundary, including textual descriptions, coordinate lists, reports and accompanying maps.
Native maps, secondary source maps, historic maps used for extraction and comparison.
Mapping imagery for stereo and mono extraction at various resolutions using digital terrain elevation data sets.
Expertise in preparing source material for digitizing, attribution, digitizing boundaries from georeferenced and ortho-rectified sources, applying projection, datum, and coordinate transformations, geo-referencing and ortho-rectifing source materials (maps, imagery) and extracting vectors from stereo imagery or elevation data
