Farmer Environmental Group, LLC (Farmer), a Texas-based environmental and industrial hygiene consulting company offering services nationwide, is currently accepting applications for a branch manager in the Tampa and central/south Florida markets to help establish an office and assist with current projects.
This is a unique opportunity to be an integral team member within a highly respected company looking to expand. Farmer provides a great benefits package including revenue and profit bonuses, PTO, paid holidays, insurance and retirement plan.
The candidate will provide technical guidance and oversight, mentoring staff, proposal and report reviews, client management, and business development supporting our nationwide offices. Primary areas of focus include asbestos, mold, water loss, emergency response, worker exposure and safety.
The Preferred qualifications include the following: -
· Science-related degree required
· Florida asbestos accreditations
· EPA-accredited Lead Risk Assessor
· Florida-licensed Mold Assessor and Indoor Air Quality experience
· Strong, verifiable references
· Reliable transportation available to be used for work purposes (mileage expense is reimbursed)
· Great work attendance
· Ability to juggle multiple projects, prioritize obligations accordingly, and manage time wisely
· Good computer skills, primarily MS Office programs & Excel-based databases
· Must be able to work overtime when called upon
· Great business development skills to develop clients in Florida and adjoining States
Some examples of the desired attributes are:
· Background in construction, building maintenance, and/or understanding of building systems and materials
· Strong experience in the Florida market and adjoining states
· Background in the environmental consulting industry
· Willingness to be cross-trained and diversify skill-set
· Experience managing complex projects
· Strong knowledge of local, state and federal environmental/asbestos/lead/mold rules and regulations, industry standards and guidelines, as well as an understanding of the local market.
· Applicants should possess an entrepreneurial mindset and are comfortable with being challenged. A successful record of managing projects, mentoring staff and developing clients and new leads are highly desired.
Travel will be required, primarily within Florida as projects demand. Company provided equipment, paid travel expenses, and benefits including insurance and retirement plan.
