Job Summary:
As an part time Accounting Clerk, you are responsible for providing financial, clerical and administrative support services to the Accounting department, ensuring efficient, timely and accurate payment of accounts under his or her control.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Maintains accounting department files and records
Enters information into accounting data entry system
Verifies and prepares checks for mailing
Researched problem invoices; interfaces with vendors, customer service team, and other appropriate staff to reconcile
Assists with month-end and runs monthly reports as required
Prepares and posts deposits; balances deposits on bank statement
Prepares invoices, checks, and other records and reviews for accuracy
Logs, posts, and balances petty cash
Answers, screens and directs incoming telephone calls
Sorts and distributes internal and external mail
Performs general clerical duties including but limited to filing, photocopying, faxing, typing and mailing
Assists with preparation of 1099's as needed

Job Requirements:
At least 6 months of accounting experience and/or AA degree in Accounting, or equivalent
Must have excellent verbal and written skills to communicate with team members and guests
Working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and applications, Property Management Systems and Point-of-Sale
Working knowledge of computer skills, including, but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to speak, read, write and understand primary language(s) used in workplace

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to stand for periods of time and occasionally required to sit, walk, push, pull and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
