What you'll be doing
Rose Paving is seeking a proactive and highly autonomous HR Generalist to join our team. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in managing HR functions within our fast-paced paving and maintenance industry. The ideal candidate will exhibit a high sense of urgency, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle a broad range of HR responsibilities efficiently, contributing to our team's success and our company's continued growth. HR Administration: Manage day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and offboarding. Ensure all HR processes run smoothly and effectively.

Talent Acquisition: Drive the recruitment process for various roles, from field positions to administrative staff. Develop and implement strategies to attract skilled talent and ensure a quick, efficient hiring process.

Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, from field workers to office staff. Proactively address and resolve workplace issues, fostering a supportive and productive environment.

Compliance & Policy Management: Ensure compliance with labor laws and industry-specific regulations. Regularly review and update HR policies to align with company goals and standards.

Training & Development: Identify and address training needs for employees at all levels. Coordinate and deliver training programs that enhance skills and support career development.

Performance Management: Facilitate performance management processes, including goal-setting, evaluations, and feedback. Assist managers in addressing performance-related issues and implementing improvement plans.

HR Analytics & Reporting: Track and analyze HR metrics, including turnover rates, employee engagement, and recruitment efficiency. Use data-driven insights to enhance HR strategies and processes.

Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve HR processes to boost efficiency and employee satisfaction. Implement best practices and innovative solutions.

Urgent Response: Respond swiftly to urgent HR matters and crises. Provide timely support and solutions to minimize disruption and maintain operational continuity.
What skills & experience you'll bring to us

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

2-4 years of experience in an HR Generalist or Specialist role, preferably in a construction or maintenance industry.

In-depth knowledge of HR principles, employment laws and regulations.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across various levels of the organization.

Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Highly organized with strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in HR software and systems (e.g., HRIS, applicant tracking systems).
