JOB SUMMARY: Reports directly to the Regional Manager for the overall day to day operations and supervision of the Vehicle Storage Facility supporting the Service Members and Department of State Employees Privately Owned Vehicles (POV) processed for shipment and/or storage under the GLOBAL Privately Owned Vehicle Program (GPC III)


  • Plans and manages all POV Vehicle Storage Facility (VSF) activities and operations in accordance with the Performance Work Statements (PWS), Performance Requirements Summary (PRS), Contract and Company Standard Operating Procedures
  • Is able to be available onsite at the VSF within one hour or request/ notification
  • Interfaces with the Contracting Officer Representative (COR), Contracting office (KO), Chain of Command, Service Member or their representative and other government representatives to coordinate/ assess POV processing requirements to ensure adequate resources available to perform all requirements outlined in the PWS and PRS
  • Interfaces and coordinates with other support providers to include vehicle transporters, vehicle repair facilities local authorities, and facility managers
  • Leads and directs employees for storage, processing POVs for shipping/receiving and administrative operations and performance
  • Responsible for POV performance metrics, including warehouse parking matrix, key control inventory, assign placement of new POV inventory within warehouse and vacant parking positions available
  • Conducts joint POV inspection for shipment and reports all new damages immediately; records and takes additional photographs of new damages as required and processes new information to IAL Claims
  • Process Bills of Lading (SOL) with Transport sub-contractor to schedule POVs for shipment or receiving, make telephonic and TRAX coordination for scheduled inventory. Reports scheduled non-shipment of POV immediately, validation with Transport sub-contractor and reschedule the POV
  • Processes Service Member/ DOD and DOS Civilians requests to remove POV from storage into the TRAX data base systems and coordinate an auto carrier request for movement
  • Serves as the IAL representative for communications with the Service Members and/or their representative, employees and General Manager
  • Participates in planning and execution of operations for the VSF site as well as in team planning for the GPC III operations.
  • Follow/ enforce all company and safety policies, SOP’s and procedures/protocols
  • Communicate appropriately with management, staff, fellow workers, subcontractors/ suppliers, and customers
  • Some travel required (occasional)
  • May be required to work outside of normal duty hours to include weekends and holidays (occasional based on forecasts)
  • Perform other duties/assist with special projects as assigned for the General Manager

PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS : Must be able to perform normal office tasks in an efficient, fast paces manger. Lifting/ boxes of files, operations of typical office machines

WORKING CONDITIONS : Open office environment (Business casual). Work must be completed by an established deadline

  • Documented experience and training in warehousing and maintenance operations
  • Thorough knowledge of safety training and implementation and knowledge of OSHA and MSDS requirements and reporting
  • Experience in managing transportation operations


  • 2-3 years of college or technical school in automotive based studies.
  • ASE or similar certification is preferred
  • Advance automotive, transportation, project management, leadership or other industry training, ratings and or certifications a plus


  • 10 years of experience in the automotive industry as a Service Manager or related position
  • Understanding/conversant about automotive service operations basics and services/standards a plus
  • Must pass drug test
  • Must possess a clean driving record and current unrestricted license
