We are currently seeking a Capital Markets Operations Associate to join our team!

Conventus is a 3-year old mortgage origination & finance company with an Operating Company (OpCo) as well as a privately managed Hedge Fund. We’re interested in finding an energetic and intellectually curious individual that is passionate around joining a high growth finance company. This position is well suited to an individual that is interested in a hands-on role as they will be the primary focal point for capital markets activity.


  • Managing large volume of transaction activity (both internal and external)
  • Organize and handle all documentation associated with loan sale program
  • Manage (and continue to refine & improve) metrics and dashboards that precisely and accurately measure loan sale activity
  • Participate in hands-on loan evaluation as well as developing innovative efforts to optimize the loan sale process
  • Provide timely internal reporting on all loan sale activity (weekly and monthly)
  • Work cross-functionally to enhance our loan sale process and infrastructure (including exception reporting)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Intellectual curiosity around financial products with the goal of identifying value to enhance our secondary sales effort
  • Ability to communicate quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner
  • Strong proficiency in entire Microsoft Office Suite is a requirement
  • Highly skilled in MS Excel (ability to use pivot tables, create formulas and link multiple workbooks, etc.)
  • Must be extremely organized
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Can-do attitude combined with a passion and commitment to excellence

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required with a preference to the following disciplines (Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline)
  • 2+ years of work experience within the financial sector conducting capital market (or related) activity
  • Familiarity with loan documentation and loan files a significant plus
