We are currently looking for an exceptional individual to lead the Discrimination Investigations Unit in our Arizona Division of Occupational Safety & Health (ADOSH), which is tasked with providing detailed, accurate, and credible investigative reports and data necessary for the Commission to perform its administrative, and enforcement duties.

The Investigations Supervisor 2 reports directly to the IC Occupational Safety & Health Administrator and is responsible for supervising staff members who investigate and report findings for wrongful employee discharge or discrimination pursuant to A.R.S 23-425. The candidate in this position will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and organizing collected investigative information and evidence for final investigation reports. Meets with the ADOSH staff and the Director to present investigative findings. Testifies in court proceedings and Commission meetings as necessary in support of case findings and recommendations. Discusses with staff case issues, analysis techniques and provides direction as necessary. Ensures staff locate, analyze and collect evidence and documents as necessary to support and determine case outcomes. Ensures that investigative data and findings and other required computer records are correctly maintained and entered into OSHA IMIS system. Generate computer reports to track and monitor section effectiveness and productivity.

REQUIREMENTS

  • AZ Driver’s License Required
In-State travel is required. Requires possession of and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver's license appropriate to the assignment. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver's license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207 (12). Employees may be required to use their own transportation, as well as maintaining valid motor vehicle insurance and current Arizona vehicle registration; however, mileage will be reimbursed.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

Ideal candidates will have:
  • Six (6) years of experience conducting complex, law enforcement or private investigations and/or three years of experience in conducting and supervising OSHA investigations.
  • Courses/training in advanced investigation techniques and procedures including A.R.S. 23-425, EEOC, OSHA 11C.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish.
