STRTP Program/Facility Manager - Social Services

Under the supervision of the Director of Residential Treatment Services, the STRTP Program/Facility Manager is responsible for leading, inspiring and managing staff, the teaming process, programming of clients, and client safety. The ideal candidate will be highly responsible, energetic, a critical thinker, and collaborative, have a huge passion for developing teams, managing systems, and ensure an efficient and effective environment for the staff, clients, and their families is implemented according to CCL, DCFS, Probation, DMH and Maryvale standards.

  • Utilize Trauma Informed Care approach in recognizing the presence of trauma symptoms and acknowledge the role that trauma has played in the lives of the clients/residents.
  • Assist in the healing process by developing appropriate RICH® (Respect, Information, Connection and Hope) relationships with those served.
  • Follow Universal Precautions when exposed to blood and body fluids.
  • Follow Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA) regulations pertaining to safety and the use of equipment/machinery.
  • Support Maryvale’s Performance and Quality Improvement Plan and participate in discussion regarding department or program goals, data collection and/or analysis.


  • Ability to effectively lead, manage, train, and motivate staff of differing levels.
  • Lead the STRTP program strategy, including daily, high-level program structure, implementation, and teaming.
  • Participate in and lead team meetings, group meetings, core meetings, and child/family team meetings (CFTMs).
  • Represent the agency at external meetings as directed.
  • Ensure area of responsibility follows all CCL, DCFS, and Maryvale policies and procedures related to scheduling, staffing, programing and treatment, safety, money management, data collection/outcome measures and overall compliance. Remain audit ready at all times.
  • Follow and lead progressive discipline practices; hire staff, train staff, set expectations and appropriate boundaries, complete employee evaluations, actions plans, discipline procedures.
  • Responsible for managing, conducting and preparing internal investigations, audit reports, and special incident reports (SIRs), and DCFS iTrack system per CCL, DCFS and Maryvale.
  • Intimate knowledge of CCL regulations and Maryvale’s STRTP Program Statement. Leads and develops teams accordingly.
  • Organize staff work schedule to maximize time utilization, structure and programming within required ratios. Manage overtime, overnight and relief scheduling.
  • Maintain flexible schedule that meets program needs. Be responsible and accountable to the 24/7 operations that is under purview.
  • Work with Food Services in monitoring food intake or special diets.
  • Develop, lead and ensure a safe and productive environment that promotes treatment is provided to the clients and their family resource.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • Minimum of 2 years college in behavioral health or related field and 3 years’ experience in a residential setting or as a supervisor.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams, and implement structure and programming.
  • Keen understanding of child/adolescent development, team development and group dynamics.
  • Demonstrated management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal skills are required to collaborate with administrative and professional personnel, to communicate with people of diverse backgrounds and education, and to train others.
  • Analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills required to understand and assist in preparing budgets and statistical data pertaining to the STRTP program.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $62,000.00 to $65,000.00 /year
