We are seeking a full-time Mid level or Senior Biologist to provide biological support for electrical transmission projects in Wyoming and Utah. The principal duties will be to provide biologist review and support to ensure protection of sensitive resources.
Responsibilities:

Review monitoring report and ensure compliance with project requirements and local, State, and Federal laws and regulations including the National Environmental Policy Act, Migratory Bird Treaty Act, Endangered Species Act, Clean Water Act, and Historic Properties Treatment Act

Review biological survey and monitor reports.

Occasional travel to the project site for monitoring raptor nests, big game habitat, sensitive plants, and other environmentally sensitive areas.

Attend regular meetings with federal agencies.

Work collaboratively with construction and regulatory personnel to develop solutions and implement permit conditions.
Compensation and Benefits:
Wage: $60,000 to $80,000 , DOE
Hours: Salary Full time, ~40 hours a week.
Full-time employees are eligible for benefits including paid time off; medical, dental, and vision insurance; and 401K with employer match. As a 100% Employee-Owned Company all employees will also be enrolled in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan, becoming shareholders in the company. Employees will be reimbursed for mileage or provided with a company vehicle and get per diem for this project. Compensation is based on qualifications and relevant experience.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Degree in wildlife biology or another relevant field

3-5 years of experience in conducting avian and or raptor nest surveys and monitoring.

Ability to work long hours in potentially extreme weather conditions.

Competence using global positioning system units, maps, ipads, and submeter accuracy devices

Ability to operate four-wheel drive vehicles on rough terrain

Ability to perform work duties independently or in a team setting

Strong communication skills

Clear communicator, highly organized, motivated, thorough, accurate, and dependable

Ability to travel to the project sites as needed.
