This role will drive a strategic business partner alliance with Operations & the Director of Cost Accounting and be integral to the continued growth and success of the organization by providing strategic financial support and analysis to the Operations function of the organization. In addition, the role will be responsible for managing the financial forecasting and planning cycles of the Operations function and will be responsible for delivering analytics and productivity tools to drive increasing operating efficiencies across the function. It will also have the responsibility of delivering monthly management reports and providing detailed explanations of variances between actuals, budget and forecasts

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Drives and fosters a strategic business partner relationship with the operations and Cost Accounting teams
Manages the monthly, quarterly and annual financial forecasting processes of the operations function
Delivers strategic insights into the operations function by way of detailed financial analysis including freight, warranty, royalties & all other COGS items
Participates in the three to five-year financial planning of the company’s operational efforts
Prepares monthly reporting packages that include full financial statements, key performance indicators, key business trends, actual vs budget variances, actual vs forecast variances and comprehensive explanations of key differences for the operations team
Develops financial models and productivity tools to help operations management make responsible financial decisions
Analyzes various inventory related reserves
Other leadership functions as required

Required Qualifications:
Experience in manufacturing companies, with 10 to 15 years total relevant experience in corporate finance, cost accounting and operations finance.

Preferred Qualifications:
Medical device experience preferred. Experience with large scale ERP systems and international locations preferred.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or business, MBA preferred
