The Category Development Analyst performs a valuable role in building a strong partnership with The Nature's Bounty Co.'s key retailers by analyzing and providing actionable insights around specific programs that deliver against category and customer priorities.
The analysis and reporting of category management foundations and directives throughout the organization for the assigned categories and retailers.
Support Category Management team and its directives based on industry trends & consumer insights by collaborating with various third party data sources and constructing dynamic presentations around key consumer trends that are driving the category dynamics.
Being an internal resource for accessing internal knowledge and translating it into action to identify opportunities in the assigned retailer and facilitating solution development with the account team and other team members.
Leverage data within established guidelines to deliver best-in-class merchandising recommendations at the retailer level
Develop standardized category review templates to help drive actionable insights.
Optimization of category management tools, assortment and space management
Develop and employ standardized processes for SKU rationalization and new item projections.
Assist with any research and lead projects to deliver category solutions benefiting both the customer and the category
2+ years of Consumer Packaged Good (CPG) industry experience, preferably in Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), primarily Category Management driven.
Prior experience working with IRI/Nielsen syndicated and panel data
Prior experience working directly with account teams preferred
Microsoft Office with strong Excel, PowerPoint)
Advanced consumer data (Market Research, Consumer Decision Tree, Household Panel Data, Nielsen Data Retrieval/Analysis, JDA) knowledge preferred.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Must be able to multi-task and strong follow-up skills
Problem solver with a solutions oriented mindset
Understand the value of listening to customers, gaining insights and moving objectives forward
Must be an articulate communicator who can quickly synthesize data
