Under the direction and supervision of the Township Supervisor, coordinates meetings and activities with other departments and outside agencies, provides high level administrative support to the Supervisor’s office and assists with solving resident concerns. Performs a variety of complex, highly sensitive and confidential support functions for the Township Supervisor, as well as working with the public and public agencies, and several other duties. The job requires knowledge normally acquired through the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Minimum of three years professional experience such as public relations, communications, office manager or marketing. Intermediate level proficiency with general office equipment, related business software such as email, Microsoft Office suite, including word processing, spreadsheet and database software applications. Ability to communicate effectively and present ideas orally and in writing. Must have the ability to prepare and submit grant proposals. General accounting skills necessary to prepare and analyze complex financial and budget reports. Skills in organizing schedules and coordinating associated resources. Ability to establish effective work relationships and use good judgment, initiative and resourcefulness, when dealing with staff, volunteers, program participants, vendors, and the public. Ability to work effectively within deadlines and with changing work priorities. Ability to meet the scheduling requirements of the department by attending conferences, seminars and Board meeting which may require working some nights and travel to other cities or states. Physical ability to occasionally sit at a computer terminal for extended periods of time, walk, stand, stoop, carry light items up to twenty-five pounds.
