Edgewater is currently seeking a Web Content Manager to support our federal customer in the Germantown, MD area.
Ability to work comfortably under pressure and to organize, track, and manage multiple tasks and deadlines, including development of project schedules and timelines
Understanding of content strategy and best practices, including SEO and Google Analytics web metrics analysis.
Ability to learn quickly, to respond/react quickly to changing priorities, and to be dedicated to completing all tasks
Familiarity with plain language, web content best practices, and use of editorial style guides
Ability to solve problems quickly and creatively
Experience working in a government contracting environment but not necessary
Drupal - 2 – 3+ years’ experience
Using Drupal to create pages, views and blocks, translating wireframes/mockups into responsive website pages for desktop/mobile/tablet; complying with 508 compliance and WCAG standards.
Creating and updating graphics and modifying photos for use on a website.
Maintaining expertise in government website compliance laws and standards per Public Affairs and GSA.
Conducting testing to ensure web content meets federal guidelines and regulations. Testing application functionality in response to bug fixes and releases.
Conducting various types of testing to ensure the quality of webpages and working functionality of the existing Drupal installation, including regression testing Drupal functionality after releases, accessibility of web content, cross browser testing, display of web content on mobile devices, and overall usability for website visitors.
Writing web content and various types of documentation that provide details on and support website updating operations.
Standard HTML/HMTL 5 - 2 – 3+ years’ experience
Creating and updating graphics and photos for use on webpages
Conducting various types of testing to ensure the quality of webpages and working functionality of the sites, cross browser testing, display of web content on mobile devices, and overall usability for website visitors.
Developing wireframes and prototypes for new webpages based on requirements, enabling stakeholders to provide feedback on the layout of a page before work is done, including coding text and layout and creating graphics.
Section 508 - 3+ years’ experience
Intermediate to expert level of knowledge on Section 508 guidelines, regulations, laws and remediations procedures for documents and website pages
Ability to train and provide assistance AU/EHSS users on Section 508 questions and issues
Ability to create Section 508 compliant fillable forms in Adobe Acrobat DC
Ability to create, edit and modify graphics for websites using Adobe Photoshop (Desired but not required)
