CACI’s Business and Information Technology Solutions (BITS) Sector, is seeking a Systems Engineer to join it’s large, prime program in support of the DoD. All staff are fully cleared, and the program provides mission critical Enterprise Application Messaging and Authorization Services worldwide. The technical staff develops and supports complex data transport, enterprise audit, authorization, information transport, and enterprise application hosting services.
What You’ll Get to Do:
As a System Engineer, you will work with an enterprise level near-real time messaging transport service supporting hundreds of projects and customers throughout the global DoD Enterprise.
You will collaborate in a team environment to develop message flow solutions with customer having disparate dataflow(s), data types, schedule and communication needs. This involves interfacing with internal and external customers to define messaging and policy enforcement requirements, obtain the necessary approvals for implementation, and coordinate operational software deployments. You will drive implementation process improvements across several disciplines including configuration management, software build and delivery, risk management, quality assurance, customer feedback, and continuous improvement.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a technical discipline and 5 years Systems Engineering experience. Additional experience may be substituted for degree.
Current TS/SCI Poly clearance
Excellent communications skills; ability to present information to a diverse audience (listen/engage with coworkers and customers)
Experience with Use Case development and requirement derivation (translating customer needs into actionable technical tasks)
Experience developing and leading cross-team technical solutions
Experience developing project artifacts (meeting notes, engineering diagrams, wikis, data flows, etc.)
Familiarity with deployment and verification cycles
Familiarity with graphics-based tools (MS PowerPoint, MS Visio, etc.)
Ability to analyze and develop new or existing processes and workflows.
Experience documenting workflow processes across multiple teams.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Familiar with the overall Software Development Life Cycle to manage and coordinate the development, testing, and deployment of new products and services across multiple teams with a wide array of technical and logistical interdependencies.
Understanding and working knowledge of Java Message Service (JMS), TIBCO, Apache ActiveMQ (AMQ), or Kafka
Familiarity with DoD based messaging formats and standards
Software engineering/development background
Familiarity with software testing and/or management
Familiarity with workflow and ticketing systems such as Redmine, JIRA, Confluence, and Service Now
