U.S. News is seeking an innovative Graphic Design Intern to join its sponsored content team; BrandFuse.
The BrandFuse team is a small department of motivated people who come up with interesting ways for U.S. News to work with sponsors. These projects often involve sponsored articles, infographics, interactive webpages, photo essays, slideshows, videos and animations.
Each partnership is different and will require different types of graphics skills. BrandFuse projects might use typography, vector illustrations, icon development, animation or hand drawing because of this it would be beneficial to have a breadth of design skills and interests.

Assist in design projects through all stages, including conceptualization, designing and production.
Create mock-up websites, for mobile and desktop.
Use Photoshop or Illustrator to design buttons and design banner ads.
Use Ceros.com or other developer tools to build websites. Experience using Ceros is not necessary.
Work on multiple projects with organized timelines and schedules.
Select stock imagery for digital use.
Edit work based on feedback.
Experience using Adobe Creative Suite Products, Photoshop, Illustrator etc...
Ability to visualize concepts in a manner that is compelling, engaging and interactive.
Knowledge of current design trends and best practices in design.
Ability learn from constructive criticism.
You listen to instructions and respond in a timely manner.
You support and inspire team members through collaboration.
You have strong verbal and visual presentation skills.
You are flexible, optimistic, positive, and open the new ideas and ways of working.
You have a deep understanding of Adobe Creative Suite products.
You are working toward a degree in graphic design, web design or related field.

This position is for full time work schedule. Each work day is a 7.5 hour day (8.5 with 1 hour lunch) for a 37.5 hour work week.
This position is for 1 year and located at our Georgetown-area offices of Washington, DC. Our internship rate is $13 an hour, and health benefits are available.
