Ingram Micro is hiring a Purchasing Intern to join our 2018 Summer Internship Program!

Purchasing is responsible for the operations and functions related to the procurement of vendor products and services. The Purchasing vision is to effectively manage inventory and vendor relationships to ensure the needs of our customers are met while balancing the goals and objectives of Ingram Micro.

The essential job responsibilities of the Purchasing Intern will include:
Data analysis and collection
Support of inventory management initiatives
Project support
Business meeting participation
Assist with day to day buyer functions / tasks

Some post high school education required.
Actively enrolled in, or recently graduated (within the last semester or quarter) from an accredited college/university program

Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Strong math skills
Ability to work with large sets of data
Willingness to work effectively both independently and on a team
Effective prioritization and time management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
Strong initiative to strive for continuous accuracy, quality, and timeliness of information
