Pacific Shore Stones is a leading importer of natural stone, quartz and premium surfaces. Established in 2004, the company offers a wide selection of granite, marble, quartz, travertine, onyx, limestone, quartzite, soapstone and sintered surface slabs. The company owners regularly visit quarries in places such as Brazil, Italy, Spain, India and Turkey, enabling them to keep up with the newest trends and to hand-select unique stones.

As our assistant manager, we will expect you to provide leadership and direction in running our facility in San Antonio. Job duties and qualifications include:
· Lead by example and have a good working knowledge of all of the job titles under you
· Recruit, hire, and train sales and warehouse staff
· Provide slab & bundle pricing guidelines for sales staff
· Ensure sales staff holds are in line with company policy
· Facilitate slab transfers to and from the location for other branches and sales staff
· Coach and provide feedback to sales and warehouse staff to establish and sustain high performance & customer service standards
· Monitor in-transit material and reserve stock for your location
· Monitor & maintain branch stock levels of core & exotic stones and tools
· Provide logistics department load lists for stock trucks
· Monitor & approve timesheets for payroll department
· Work with purchasing department to ensure high volume colors in your market are being purchased
· Monitor warehouse staff to ensure organization & cleanliness of warehouse and slabs are being done
· Provide PPE and supplies for trucking, warehouse staff and office
· Monitor & schedule forklift and delivery truck PM’s
· Monitor and forward to corporate all equipment inspections
· Monitor and collect location accounts receivables
· Establish relationships with local fabricators, builders, designers & architects
· Provide quartz samples & displays for local fabricators
· Be highly functional with SPS software
· Promote a high degree of unity & team atmosphere with location staff
· Attend networking events along with helping with local marketing
· Have sales staff meetings and set monthly & quarterly goals
· Continue to increase stores profitability by hitting monthly sales goals
· Efficiently schedule all local deliveries
· Perform other duties assigned by upper management
· Typical store hours are Monday through Friday 8am through 5pm and Saturday 9am through 2pm. With rotating Saturday shifts, that typically means 1-2 Saturdays per month per employee.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years in sales management
- Strong team player and self-starter
- Superior organization and follow up skills
- Excellent sales skills and high level of independent motivation
- Proven track record of being customer focused and able to build quality relationships
- Experience in the home and building or interior design industry desired
- Bilingual a plus
- Stone experience a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
