Position Summary: To write manufacturing / packaging and quality related documents (including validations).
Pay Rate: $32-$38/hr, open depending on experience
Shift: 1st shift, 4x10 schedule, Mon.-Thurs.
Position Type: Contract position with potential for full time hire depending on performance and department need.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Produces new procedures from scratch by observing the procedure being done, asking questions, and taking notes.
Updates existing procedures in a timely fashion by collecting feedback from users and verifying details with Subject Matter Experts.
Maintains documentation, insures that revision changes are clearly documented and that the latest revision is always available on the factory floor.
Must be able to understand the goals of the procedures in order to properly document them.
Bachelor's degree (BS) in technical field (Food Science, Material Science, Chemistry, etc.) preferred. Bachelor's degree (BA) in Liberal Arts (Writing, English, Communications, Education, Journalism, etc.) acceptable.
At least three (3) years' experience in professional writing, technical writing preferred.
Exceptionally proficient in MS Word formatting and templates.
Ability to work with QA manager and Supervisors, extract key information, and condense it into clear and concise instructions as needed
Extremely well organized. Able to keep track of multiple comments on multiple documents at once. Good attention to detail.
Knowledge of SAP a plus
Candidate should be self-motivated and results-oriented, have a sense of urgency, high follow-through, and take ownership of assigned projects.
Interacts well with co-workers.
Experience in Manufacturing GMP in Food or Nutraceutical industry a plus
