Experience Requirements: A minimum of 5 years conceptual sales experience in new business development and account management at an International level. Hospitality or service background preferred. Self-motivated with passion to close business

Position Overview

The Senior Sales Manager has responsibility for:
Targeted acquisition and retention of new high rated extended stay business across multiple markets

Developing key strategic relationships in multiple sectors and verticals including government for extended stay business

Managing Local/National/Regional and Global accounts as requested

Maintaining client relationships

Creating a high revenue yield through occupancy / rate

Development and implementation of strategic sales plans wherever required

Partnering with the front office/reservations teams to ensure capture of all sales leads and requirements at all remote properties

Travel as and when required to include client visits, cluster meetings, training, conferences, tradeshows & events

Any project work as requested by the General Manager

Responsibilities Include

Revenue Generation – achieve set quarterly revenue targets for multiple markets via:

New business generation

Account Management

Develop strategic partnerships within defined industry sectors

Implementation of Sales and Marketing strategy and development of internal procedures and systems

Network and participate in local professional organizations within key industry sectors as required

Liaison with international feeder markets to enable effective cross-selling

Implementation of new strategies to develop untapped international markets

Manage and grow government business at all levels of local and federal government

Reporting

Review and develop a list of the top 20 revenue accounts

Complete quarterly action plans/priority reports and review with General Manager

Complete and send monthly Sales Reports to General Manager and sales group activity, local knowledge and events

Achieve pro rata 8 good quality appointments per week

Attend internal meetings to monitor and assess the sales strategies as required

Administrative

Work with Local Sales Managers, Global Sales Managers, and General Manager in developing the Sales Department annual budget and work within the budget

Make recommendations on apartment inventory for existing and pending sales

Attend bi-weekly sales and reservations meetings

Participate in apartment pricing issues and decisions

Oversee client profiling and competitor analysis on a quarterly basis

Account development planning
