TAA serves Amazon employees across nearly 20 countries and more than a dozen business lines. We are a start-up tackling new, hard problems that Amazon has not solved at scale, creating fundamentally improved ways for employees to record time and reduce pay defects. TAA has a balance of start-up vision and operational excellence, technical complexity and clear product definition, and global scope across multiple Amazon businesses. In order to achieve rapid deployment of time solutions, we need to drive a simplified and more consistent global policy. PeopleTech is looking for a dedicated leader to work with HR, Compliance, Legal and business line leaders to drive this effort. Today, complex policy is the biggest barrier to efficient requirements gathering and shorter development cycles. Policy simplification will help unlock self-service functionality, which will enable rapid product deployment. It’s a high visibility role that requires perseverance and invent and simplify, policy background, tech fluency, high earn trust, and influencing capability to work with senior business/HR/legal leaders across Amazon.
PeopleTech is looking for a strong Principal Product Manager with experience shaping and delivering product strategy and features that drive an exceptional customer experience. Our team is passionate about launching global Time systems all over the world, and we require a visionary leader with a strong technical background, an ability to think critically and analytically about product and technical challenges, and a rock-solid background in analysis and insight that translates data into digestible business intelligence and actionable information. The best candidates will have real-world experience owning and driving product requirements, synthesizing technologies and capabilities into lovable products, and prioritizing between features, architectural improvements, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities include simplifying global policy, driving the development of innovative products from vision to implementation, providing expertise and thought leadership to the broader product and tech teams, and influencing colleagues and stakeholders. Successful candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment with fast delivery time, rapid iteration, and data-driven decision-making. The right candidate is one who dives deep and has shown demonstrated success in simplifying processes, managing high-growth, successful product launches, and driving customer success through a roll-up-your-sleeves, entrepreneurial approach.
10+ years work experience in Project Management, Product Management, or Technology organizations
7+ years of Product Management experience
Experience working with and influencing senior level stakeholders
Demonstrated skills in developing products, capturing business requirements, launching projects, and conducting customer research.
Excellent writing skills
Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-complexity projects
Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements.
Strong verbal communication and presentation skills; sufficient poise to successfully interact with all levels of an organization, cross-functional partners, and customers.
Passion for technology, curiosity to dive deep into Amazon’s suite of technical products and commitment to learning and expanding technical knowledge
4-year BA/BS required
MUST have successful experience working in a remote capacity
- Quantitative background with proven ability to synthesize and make sense out of huge amounts of data
- Proven ability to identify, analyze, and solve ambiguous problems independently with an extreme attention to detail
- Interest and experience developing or simplifying policy
- Strong strategic aptitude; proven ability to define the right business strategy and develop the product roadmap to deliver it
- Demonstrated ability to successfully influence stakeholders without formal authority, leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units
- Excellent customer experience intuition; demonstrated success in creating innovative solutions for complex customer problems
- Technical fluency; comfort understanding and discussing technology concepts, experience evaluating tradeoffs and new opportunities with technical team members
- MBA or relevant graduate degree
