Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Meat Manager/Meat Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and safety, with expertise in meat cutting techniques. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality meat products are prepared and presented for our customers, while adhering to all food safety regulations. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will play a crucial role in our meat department operations.
Duties
- Perform meat cutting tasks, including trimming, slicing, and packaging various types of meat.
- Ordering, stocking and maintaining back stock.
-Keep dates fresh and rotated.
- Having customer service.
-Taking custom orders.
-Knowledge of appropriate mark ups of product.
- Ensure all meat products are prepared according to food safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat preparation area.
- Monitor inventory levels of meat products and communicate needs to management.
- Utilize knives and other cutting tools safely and effect
Experience
- Must have 2 to 3 years of experience in a meat department.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices related to meat handling and preparation.
- Familiarity with various types of meat cuts and preparation methods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in using kitchen equipment related to meat cutting.
