Needed in Athens, GA. Pay based on performance and experience.

Masons: $20-$24 Per Hour.
Laborers: $12-$18 per Hour (see Job Description for Laborer below)

Laborers Job Description:

  • Rubbing walls consisting of holding a rubbing stone (appx 3 lbs) and rubbing walls. Kneeling & bending will be required
  • Picking up trash (water bottles, empty mortar bags, etc.) that is under 40 lbs kneeling & bending will be required
  • Pointing up and sweeping walls which consists of holding small amounts of mortar (less than 1lbs) and placing it in small holes. After applying mortar, sweeping it with a small hand brush (less than 3lbs) to provide a finish product. Kneeling & bending will be required.
  • Measuring & marking cuts, turning block over (which is less than 30 lbs) which will require holding a ruler (less than 3lbs) and a pencil. Bending & kneeling will be required.
  • Helping lay out walls which will require holding a tape, pencil and a chalk line (all under 3lbs). bending & kneeling required
  • Taking inventory, which consists of holding a pencil and legal pad.
  • Cut concrete blocks, rocks, and bricks
  • Secure bolts and ties (metal) with a hand drill
  • Installing wall ties, consists of holding screw gun
  • Drilling, using hammer drill
  • Shovel mortar and place it on mud boards
  • Stock brick, holding no more than 8 brick at a time (36lbs).
  • Help build scaffold (putting on braces and safety rails, side brackets).
  • Mixing up mortar, shoveling sand, picking up bags of mortar (80lbs)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20.00 to $24.00 /hour
