We are currently seeking an experienced Sales Executive to join our growing team in South San Francisco. This is a full time, salary + commission position. The Sales Executive is tasked with generating new customer and business leads for SF-Express. Must be open to out of state travel.
The Sales Executive will...
Develop a knowledge of S.F. Express Corporation’s products, services and capabilities. Apply gained knowledge toward developing and successfully executing sales plans and strategies designed to either increase the business volume with current customers or to add new customers to our customer base.
The ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES of The Inside Sales Executive:
Prospect and qualify sales leads by using internal and external sources to either generate new business or expand current level of business.
Qualify accounts in the areas of who makes the decision, number of shipments, size of the shipments, commodity, and destination/origin of shipments, how shipments are currently moving and other pertinent information.
Provide standard pricing and competitive rate quotes to customer via phone to attain new business.
Grow existing customer and bring in new business.
Coordinate with function groups to develop solution in meeting customer business demand.
May accompany experienced Sales Manager on selling missions to observe actual selling techniques and administrative processes and, when appropriate, may either assist in these sales calls or perform calls as appropriate. May conduct personal sales calls on current or prospective customers following well defined guidelines, procedures, policies and practices.
Will maintain a base of smaller revenue producing accounts via phone and occasionally in person depending on geographic area.
Develop and maintain knowledge and understanding of competitors’ products, services, costs and sales/marketing strategies in order to remain prepared in a position to successfully counteract competitor’s attempts to erode our customer base. Check on competition activity becoming familiar with accounts in assigned territory.
Schedule appointments with current and prospective customers in an effort to identify how S.F. Express Corporation can satisfactory fill the customer’s needs.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
International logistics or solutions sales experience is highly preferred
Outside Sales experience a plus
Organized with preparation plans ahead accompanied with research and survey capability
Customer-focused; with drive to achieve
Good interpersonal skills in building up of relationship
Bilingual in Chinese is a strong plus
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in business or twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
outside sales experience is a plus
Experience in a fast paced transportation/courier express industry is a plus
