Shook's New York office has an exciting opportunity for a Litigation Paralegal to join our Class Action and Appellate practice group. Focusing on trial preparation and support, the chosen candidate will handle large document production, discovery, interviewing of witnesses and experts, preparing exhibits and trial binders, drafting pleadings and subpoenaing records.
This position is expected totravel approximately 10% to provide trial support. Ability to travel is required.
As a candidate, you will stand out by possessing:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in litigation (bonus for large-scale, multi-party litigation);
- Familiarity with New York and New Jersey courts;
- Trial preparation experience (bonus if you've attended trial);
- A willingness to share knowledge and collaborate;
- Strong attention-to-detail demonstrated by work product.
This position is hybrid, providing flexibility to work from home 2 days per week when not at trial.

The expected salary range for this position in New York is between $68,137 to $102,207 annually. Actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, area of expertise, and geographic/office location.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university and/or paralegal certificate/degree and one to two years relevant experience; OR equivalent combination of education and experience; OR a minimum of one year at Shook as a Staff Paralegal.
