Join Cardno’s Science and Environment team in Sacramento, CA to work with a multidisciplinary team of accomplished environmental engineers, biologists, ecologists, and planners on a variety of projects in California and the western United States.

Job Description:
Cardno is seeking an Aquatic and Water Temperature Modeler in Sacramento, CA.

Responsibilities:
> Technical data analyses for aquatic reports, including hydrology analyses

> Technical report writing

> Lead field surveys to support various aquatic studies including: fish surveys (also other

aquatic species), instream flow/hydrology, water temperature, general water quality

> Modeling (habitat and temperature)

> Presentations with clients and stakeholders

Basic Qualifications:
> Bachelors with relevant experience, Masters or PhD degree in fish biology, aquatic ecology, or environmental science/engineering or related science

> 2 - 10+ years of relevant experience

> Excellent oral and written communication skills

> Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel

> Experience/ability to collect field data (e.g., fisheries, water quality, hydraulics/hydrology)

> Strong quantitative skills

> Ability to travel

Desired Qualifications:
> General knowledge of Northern California watersheds and the California Bay-Delta

> General knowledge of anadromous species/ water resources/ water quality

> Experience with instream flow modeling

> Ability to work well independently and with a diverse, multi-disciplinary team

> Self-motivated with strong initiative

> Creative, resourceful, and detail oriented

> Positive and energetic attitude
