Senior Consultant, Hotel Spend Management (Remote)

As part of the Hotel Spend Management team you will engage with internal and external stakeholders to strategize and implement effective hotel programs by using powerful analytics and innovative sourcing strategies. You’ll leverage BCD Travel’s ongoing performance management process to continuously elevate existing hotel programs, drive additional savings and increase return on investment.
To be successful in this role you must be skilled in managing multiple clients and tasks simultaneously within timeline and budgetary guidelines. You should be skilled in analyzing large data sets, negotiating with hotel suppliers, storytelling, managing global project teams and providing robust optimization recommendations to your clients.
As a Senior Consultant, you will

Leverage data, analytics, current and impending hotel spend management techniques, tools and opportunities that go beyond traditional hotel sourcing to create comprehensive hotel spend management strategy recommendations for clients, continuously identifying additional savings opportunities

Determine ideal balance of solutions to optimize client’s complex hotel programs – i.e., rate structures, program monitoring solutions, OBT merchandising strategies and other policy and marketing initiatives

Assess style and demeanor of client and adjust consulting style to drive change within client organization via the application of decision frameworks

Utilize Clarizen and SalesForce tools to maintain client project information, project plans and sales activities

Understand the roles of all project team members, internal and external, within project delivery and effectively assign and track tasks, managing all team members to on-time completion of deliverables

Take initiative in formulating creative internal solutions to evolve and optimize the practice as it relates to overall working processes, new and complex client situations, balancing team workload, and mentor team members as necessary
About you

Prior experience in a client facing program management or consulting role with proven ability to assess a client’s situation and develop a customized data-driven solution to increase their return on investment

High emotional intelligence and enjoys building global relationships that foster open communication and trust with internal and external customers

Able to communicate and present complex ideas and challenging messages effectively, verbally, visually and in writing, to internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization

Strong analytics skills, ability to decode and translate visualizations into data-driven actions

Comfortable with evolving technology and its use as an enabler

Self-starter with a consultative and proactive approach and proven ability to manage competing priorities to deliver high quality results within project deadlines

The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Senior Consultant, Hotel Spend Management is between $80,000 and $98,000. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience and geographical location.
