Poultry caretaker and egg collection specialist

VALO BioMedia is a global supplier of Vaccine Eggs used in the production of human and animal vaccines and in pharmaceutical research. It is our clear goal to build and maintain long-term partnerships with established planning and supply procedures to ensure security and quality of supply for SPF Eggs and pullets at all times.
The poultry caretaker and egg collection position helps with several duties. Some of the primary responsibilities of this position are:
- Bird husbandry/daily welfare checks of birds
- Egg collection and disinfection
- Minor equipment adjustments
- Maintain files and quality documentation
- Interacting with team to improve processes and assure quality is maintained
- Help maintain farm changing room organization as well as general farm and hatchery housekeeping

Shift: Flexible scheduling, full time employees expected 30 to 40 hours a week, with weekends paying time and a half.
Education / Experience: High School or equivalent, on the job training will be provided - no experience required.
Requirements: The right candidate must be self-motivated and able to work alone for an extended amount of times. Positive attitude and excellent communication skills are a must. This person must be able to pick-up and carry 50 pounds repetitively and must have full range of motion.
Company biosecurity procedures and animal welfare is mandatory and must be strictly followed.
