SS&S (Storage, Software & Systems): The Storage Software and Systems Group develops the critical technologies behind NetApp’s All Flash Storage Arrays, the backbone of high-performance and cloud-connected applications such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, container-based DevOps environments, and high-performance video imaging. We also deliver Software Defined Storage solutions that can be run in the cloud, in IoT devices, and in remote locations throughout the world.

The Research Triangle Park site of NetApp is integral to the success of NetApp Engineer team responsible for the entire life cycle of product delivery starting from identifying the Industry trends that drive the long-term product architecture all the way to creating the solution specific collateral that is the handbook for customers to deploy and manage their complex data center deployments. Job Requirements

Data sciences coursework

Programming skills in 1 or more high-level languages (C, C++, Java, etc)

Linux command line and system administration skills

Experience with at least one scripting language (i.e. Python, Perl, Ruby, Bash, etc.)

Motivated self-starter with an equal balance of strong analytical skills and customer-facing communication skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills to engage any audience

Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated mindset for continuous learning and knowledge transfer

Knowledge of public cloud architectures and networking is a plus

Ability to work on a diverse team or with a diverse range of people.

Understanding of TypeScript, JavaScript and front-end frameworks such as Angular. Some experience working with Node.js.

Creative and analytical approach to problem solving and analysis.

Education

We are seeking candidates that are pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or an equivalent degree.
