The Buyer/Merchandiser position will include, but are not limited to the following job description: work closely with the Director of Retail, regarding all items purchased in the Golf Shop, Spa/Ftiness and Corner Store ensuring Member satisfaction. Your primary duty is management and supervision of daily merchandise operations to accomplish Cherry Creek Country Clubs merchandising and purchasing goals. This position requiresflexibility to accommodate seasonal changes in the hours of operations.
Scope of work:
You report directly to the PGA Head Golf Professional and Director of Retail.
Work closely with the Director of Retail regarding all merchandise purchases for Cherry Creek Country Club (Golf Shop, Spa, Fitness and Corner Store.) Attend meetings with vendors and keep up to date with current industry trends.
Assist in creating, implementing and monitoring merchandise budgets for the year. In addition, assist in managing the open-to-buy for Cherry Creek Country Club. As well as, be accountable for all merchandise sales and cost of goods sold. Maintain those records and properly record numbers for reporting.
Manage inventory control. Duties include buying and evaluating goods, in addition to performing monthly inventory with less than .5% shrinkage. Understand order process (ordering and receiving), invoicing and monthly accounting procedures.
Execute innovative, fresh displays in the Golf Shop, Spa and Corner Store monthly.
Promote the sale of merchandise and be in control of receiving, pricing and displaying inventory in the Golf Shop, Spa and Corner Store.
Manage merchandise advertisement, marketing and all social media pertaining to Cherry Creek Country Club.
Find resolution of issues and implement change within the merchandise concession. Create new work techniques to maintain quality and efficiency.
Promote positive employee relations at all times, be a team player.
Assist Members and Guests to ensure quality service and satisfaction.
Manage monthly trunk shows, tournament merchandise operations and the Holiday Boutique for the Golf Shop and Spa. Assist in acquiring vendors as well as the organizing, promoting and marketing all events.
Member of Association of Golf Merchandisers (AGM).
Excellent oral communication skills for the management of staff and service of Membership.
Positive interpersonal skills required in the management of staff and service of Membership.
Operational experience in the business management /administration of merchandising and purchasing.
Customer service skills and the ability to train staff in those skills.
Highly motivated to achieve goals, excellent organizational skills, and strong computer skills.
Walking and/or standing for the length of shift.
Frequently lifts/carries 25-50 pounds
Occasionally lifts/carries 50+pounds with assistance.
Continual use of fine manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
Able to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly.
May be indoor or outdoor setting depending on service area. Varied weather conditions are expected.
Varied schedule to include evenings, holidays and extended hours as business dictates.
This position requires flexibility with increased hours seasonally to accommodate seasonal changes in the hours of operation.
$15 per hour, 35+ hours per week. Full-time, eleven (11) month position.
Wage to be paid in conjunction with the Cherry Creek Country Clubs standard twice-monthly payroll program.
Opportunity to enroll in the Clubs medical and insurance programs.
One (1) week paid vacation to be taken with the restrictions currently stated in the CCCC handbook.
