Automated Products, Inc. is looking to add a truss estimator to our staff. This position would prepare the cost estimates for the purchase and build of manufactured wood trusses.
Job Description:
- Evaluate customer request via email attachment
- Calculate the material quantities based on specifications
- Knowledge of construction materials
- Ability to interpret blueprints, construction drawing
- Prepare material quote
- Communicate with salesmen and customers
- Track all quotes for follow-up
- Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Requirements: 2 or more years of experience estimating in the construction field or related experience
- Communication both written and oral
- Teamwork
- Computer knowledge
- Ability to read a blueprint/drawings
- Strong people skills
- excellent organizational skills
- Understanding of building design, building material and construction terms
- knowledge of building codes
