CACI is currently seeking a Systems Engineer to work on a prestigious government contract located in Arlington, Va. The Senior. PowerShell Scripting Automation Engineer will work closely with other Systems Administrators, Architects and Technical Services leadership, and is responsible for developing PowerShell Desired State Configuration (DSC) to create Managed Object Format (MOF) files to programmatically configure Virtual Machines (VMs) in Azure.
Required Skills/Basic Qualifications
· Creating PowerShell DSC scripts to automate tasks.
· Expertise scripting with Powershell DSC
· Ability to write Azure function and API calls
· Experience with serverless computing
· Good understanding of fundamentals of Infrastructure as code
· Demonstrated experience with Windows servers (Windows 2012, 2016, and newer)
· Understand Azure services - such as compute, storage, containers, networking, DevOps, security web etc.
· Application of security settings/STIGs and other commercial security best practices
· System (hardware) and application (software) installation and configuration
· Working with application and system owners on troubleshooting tasks
· Excellent written and verbal communications skills
· Additional duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications
- Azure, MCSE, VMWare, or other industry standard certifications
- Good knowledge of MS Azure DevOps
- Knowledge in automation capabilities of deployment, monitoring, maintenance, within the DevOps paradigm.
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS
- Good knowledge of application developments using Agile, and DevOps good practices
- MS Azure training and/or certification
- ITIL training and/or certification
- Scrum Alliance training and/or certification
- Customer interface experience
- Network knowledge and experience
- Exposure to SQL and Oracle and database concepts and installation
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $115,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
