Plumbing Designer

The Plumbing Designer is responsible for the design and submittal of Plumbing projects. The designer follows best design practices to produce a cost efficient system that is easy to install, meets customer needs, and complies with all code requirements. The designer follows all processes and procedures efficiently and effectively to ensure accuracy and quality of all work performed.

The Plumbing Designer performs the following duties:
Conduct code review and research
Create plumbing system layout
Perform equipment calculations
Generates and submits plans for State or Municipality review
Generates As-built drawings
Provides technical assistance to customers and field personnel
Resolves all change requests and problems related to design as a support function to the project management team
Works directly with customer and Engineers to produce finished drawings
Creates specifications
Coordinate and clash detects with architecture, structural, and other trades
Attends internal and external meetings as required
Performs other duties as assigned
The Plumbing Designer should possess the following qualifications:

2 year technical degree in architectural or engineering technology, mechanical design or related field, or equivalent combination of knowledge and/or experience in drafting, construction, and/or plumbing
5+ years of plumbing design experience
Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks
Understands and applies plumbing regulations and building codes
Knowledge of plumbing systems
Strong attention to detail
